Mary: My husband's in it.
Meemaw: So, you're just gonna keep sleeping here instead of dealing with it?
Mary: I'm helping with the baby.
Meemaw: She'll still be crying tomorrow. Go home.
Mary: I will. I just need my space right now.
Meemaw: I know the feeling.
Mary: You're cranky. You want me to rock you to sleep? I'm pretty good at it.
Meemaw: Don't touch me.

Mary: What has gotten into you?
George: Well? Answer your mother.
Missy: So the only time you two talk to each other is to yell at me?
Mary: That is not true.
Missy: Oh, really? Where have you been sleeping the last couple nights?
George: Whoa, you do not talk to us that way.
Mary: And you do not talk to your teacher that way either.
Missy: Sheldon says obnoxious things all the time, but it's fine 'cause he's special.
Mary: This is not about Sheldon.
Missy: For once.

George: Go to your room.
Missy: Fine.
Mary: And you're gonna apologize to Mrs. Wilkins.
Missy: That's not her name anymore.

Mary: Can you believe her?
George: Well, maybe this wouldn't have happened if you were around.
Mary: Are you really trying to blame this on me?
George: I'm not the one sleeping across the street. I'm here with our kids.

Mary: So you want to get into this? Let's get into this. What is going on with you and Brenda?
George: Nothing.
Mary: It doesn't seem like it.
George: What, you're honestly saying that you don't light up every time Pastor Rob's around?
Mary: Maybe I do. Nothing ever happened. I wouldn't do that.
George: [scoffs] What, you saying I would?
Mary: You tell me.
George: I wouldn't.
Mary: But you like being around her. [George sighs] [Mary sighs] [George sighs] What happens now?
George: I don't know.

Mandy: My daughter hates me. What difference does it make if I'm there or not?
Georgie: You know that ain't true.
Mandy: Really? Because all she does is cry, and I'm tired all the time, and even your brother is better at soothing her than I am.
Georgie: You're just a little overwhelmed. It's normal.
Mandy: Why aren't you?
Georgie: Well, we can't both be freaked out at the same time. We got to take turns.
Mandy: When's your turn?
Georgie: Already had it. I was so scared when I got to the hospital, I... I got back in my car and drove away.
Mandy: While I was in labor?!
Georgie: Don't hit me. We're sharing freak-outs. And I still came back.
Mandy: [sighs] What kind of parents are we?
Georgie: The new kind, the well-meaning, dumb kind.
Mandy: We're gonna get better, right?
Georgie: We ain't got no choice.

Sheldon: What are you doing?
Mary: Oh, um... I'm just gonna be staying at Meemaw's a little bit longer.
Sheldon: Okay.
Mary: You all right?
Sheldon: No.
Mary: What's going on?
Sheldon: My database... I've- I've never failed like this before, and it frightens me.
Mary: Oh... sweetie, I'm sorry. Sometimes, no matter how much we want things to work out, they just don't. [hugs Sheldon]
