Young Sheldon to be syndicated on Nick at Nite

Warner Bros. has struck a syndication deal with ViacomCBS which will see repeats of Young Sheldon join Nickelodeon's evening programming block, Nick at Nite, from November.

The first three seasons of the show will air along side repeats of Friends, George Lopez, and the Chuck Lorre series Mom on the cable channel. Nick at Nite will also add Young Sheldon's fourth season, which will hopefully premiere on CBS later this year, in 2021.

The deal does mean Young Sheldon will have a different syndication home to The Big Bang Theory, which has been syndicated on Warner's own TBS since 2011.

Warner Bros also recently struck the first streaming deal for Young Sheldon, licensing the show to Warner Media's HBOMax service, which is the exclusive streaming home of The Big Bang Theory.

Young Sheldon's fourth season delayed

CBS's fall schedule, including the fourth season of Young Sheldon, will not premiere in September due to production delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The network has rejigged its line-up with a mix of reality shows and scripted fare from other platforms in place of its originally scheduled programming.

Star Trek: Discovery, the CBS All Access original, will be airing Thursday nights at 10 following Big Brother at 8 and Love Island at 9.

CBS is hopeful it will be able to roll out its previously announced programming, including Young Sheldon, as they start to become available in November.
