Richard Kind is an American actor best known for his roles on the sitcoms Mad About You and Spin City.

Kind's first notable television role came in 1989 with the short-lived NBC drama Unsub. A year later he joined the cast of Carol Burnett's sketch show Carol & Company. In 1992, Kind landed one of his most memorable roles as Dr. Mark Devanow on the Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt sitcom Mad About You. In 1996, Kind joined the cast of ABC's Spin City as Paul Lassiter, staying with the show until its end in 2002.

Since Spin City, Kind has made guest appearances on TV shows including Just Shoot Me!, Girlfriends, ScrubsTwo and a Half Men, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Goodwife, Glee, and The Goldbergs.

On the big screen, Kind's credits include Argo, A Serious Man, and the 2005 remakes of Bewitched and The Producers. As a voice actor, his credits include A Bug's Life, Garfield: The Movie, Cars, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, and Inside Out.
