Production halted on Young Sheldon
Production on the third season of Young Sheldon has been suspended today as Hollywood studios react to the coronavirus pandemic.
“With the rapidly changing events related to COVID-19, and out of an abundance of caution, Warner Bros. Television Group is halting production on some of our 70+ series and pilots currently filming or about to begin,” the company said in a statement. “The health and safety of our employees, casts and crews remains our top priority. During this time, we will continue to follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control as well as local officials and public health professionals in each city where our productions are based.”
In scheduling news, CBS will be airing reruns of Young Sheldon on Thursday, March 19 and 26 at 8/7c and 8:30/7:30c. The show was set to be pre-empted by the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament, which has now been called off because of the coronavirus. The next original episode is set to air April 2.
