CBS renews 'Georgie and Mandy' for second season

CBS has renewed the Young Sheldon spin-off Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage for a second season.
This multi-camera comedy stars Montana Jordan and Emily Osment as the titular newlyweds Georgie and Mandy, who have moved in with Mandy’s parents, Jim and Audrey (played by Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones), along with their daughter, CeeCee. The show also features Dougie Baldwin as Mandy’s younger brother, Connor, and Jessie Prez as Ruben, an employee at Jim's tire store.
Several Young Sheldon stars have made guest appearances on the show, including Zoe Perry as Mary, Raegan Revord as Missy, Annie Potts as Meemaw, Craig T. Nelson as Dale, and most recently Matt Hobby as Pastor Jeff. Lance Barber is set to reprise his role as George Cooper in an upcoming episode.
Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage premiered last October, following the conclusion of Young Sheldon after a seven-season run. Shortly after its premiere, CBS ordered an additional nine episodes, extending the first season to 22 episodes.
Since its debut, Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage has claimed the top spot as the #1 comedy on television, a title previously held by Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory. The show averages 12.9 million viewers per episode, including streaming and delayed viewing.
Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage airs Thursdays at 8/7c on CBS, the same time slot previously occupied by Young Sheldon.
