Paige: I'm bored. Let's get out of here.
Sheldon: I can't. I told my dad I'd stay here until the end of the lecture.
Paige: Okay. Be a baby. I'm leaving.
Dr. Barrett: In our case, the math yields approximately 48,000 years.
Adult Sheldon: I was most certainly not a baby. If anyone was a baby, it was she, because people who call other people babies are the real babies.
Sheldon: [WHISPERING] Wait up.

Adult Sheldon: My mother's fears that no one would be saved that Halloween night were proven incorrect.
Mr. Lundy: As they kissed, she thought about the choices that led her to this moment.
Adult Sheldon: Mr. Lundy's scene about lust made a deep impact on my brother's date.

Adult Sheldon: Vindication, the sweetest candy of all.

Adult Sheldon: While my sister and I are twins, we've always been different. By the age of two, I was reading books. Missy was content to eat them. By five, I had a healthy appreciation for a well-organized work space. My sister, less so.

Adult Sheldon: The bond between twins is an incredibly close one, which is why I moved 1,500 miles to California the first chance I got.

Adult Sheldon: Visiting Tam's house for the first time was an emotional roller coaster.
For example, it's traditional in Vietnamese homes to have gruesome religious iconography near the entrance. I did not like that.
However, it's also customary to not wear shoes around the house for sanitary reasons. I did like that.
Interestingly, one of the main ingredients in Vietnamese cooking is an extremely pungent condiment known as fish sauce. I did not like that.
But before every meal, it's common for everyone to wash their hands and face. I did like that.
Forks are not customary in a Vietnamese household. I did not like that.
And instead of napkins, there was one towel for everyone to share at the table. Seriously, what are they thinking?

George Sr.: Sheldon, all you got to do is be cool.
Adult Sheldon: "Be cool." He might as well have asked me to fly around the backyard.

Adult Sheldon: For most students, the weekend represented two days of fun, freedom, and in the case of my brother, a chance to ignore all forms of hygiene. But this wasn't a typical weekend, because this was the weekend I got to do my parents' taxes.
Sheldon: Howdy do, W-2.

Mary: Thank you, Lord, for this little boy.
Sheldon: I knew I could fix it.
Mary: [LAUGHS] Maybe it was you and the Lord.
Adult Sheldon: I don't like sharing credit, but I knew in that moment it wasn't the appropriate time to say it.

Adult Sheldon: If my mother's faith was the Starship Enterprise, over the next week, she achieved warp factor 9.

Adult Sheldon: I started to think that Paige and I might have more in common than I thought.
Maybe my mother was right. I really did just need to get to know her better.
Paige: Checkmate! You lose. [CHUCKLES] Guess that makes me the smartest.
Adult Sheldon: I don't know if ten-year-old Spock ever flipped a chess board, but ten-year-old Sheldon sure did.

Adult Sheldon: : Vulcans use a technique called Kolinahr to suppress their emotions.
Mary: [OFF-SCREEN] Sheldon, they're here!
Adult Sheldon: Obviously, I wasn't a Vulcan. So I did the next best thing: took my feelings and shoved them down so far they may have been lost forever.

Paige: Sheldon! [She hugs him]
[flashback:] Dr. McCoy: The release of emotions, Mr. Spock, is what keeps us healthy.
Adult Sheldon: Dr. McCoy was an idiot.

Adult Sheldon: The thought of spending an afternoon with Paige seemed excruciating, but I wanted to make my mother happy. I was torn.
Dr. McCoy: The release of emotions, Mr. Spock, is what keeps us healthy Emotionally healthy, that is.
Adult Sheldon: Luckily, the wise words of Gene Roddenberry flatly delivered by Leonard Nimoy resolved my dilemma.
Mr. Spock: That may be, Doctor. However, I have noted that the healthy release of emotion is frequently very unhealthy.
Adult Sheldon: I realized if Mr. Spock could rise above his emotions while the fate of the Enterprise hung in the balance, certainly I could tolerate Paige for a few hours.

Mary: Okay, look. You're right. I don't have many friends, so I was hoping to get to know Paige's mom. But if it makes you uncomfortable, then I will call her and cancel.
Sheldon: I'll think about it.
Mary: Thank you, baby.
Adult Sheldon: Guilt and jealousy in the same day. I slept hard that night.

Adult Sheldon: Not since sharing a uterus with my twin sister have I been so unhappy sitting next to someone.

Adult Sheldon: My father's wisdom touched me deeply. Which is why, to this day, no matter what I'm going through, I am never irritating or abusive to any of my friends or loved ones. Ask them. They'll tell you.

Adult Sheldon: For the next several months, I continued working my paper route until I paid my father back. And by working, I mean delegating.
