'Young Sheldon' first in time period

Last night's return of Young Sheldon ranked first in its time period and held on to almost 90% of The Big Bang Theory's audience.

"Rockets, Communists and the Dewey Decimal System" was watched by 12.66 million people to finish first in viewers in its time period. Young Sheldon was the second most-watched show of the night behind Big Bang.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, Young Sheldon had a 2.2/8 rating, down from The Big Bang Theory's 2.7/11, to finish first in its time period. Young Sheldon was the second highest-rated show of the evening in the demo after The Big Bang Theory.
