CBS announces second season finale

CBS has released the synopsis for the second season finale of Young Sheldon, "A Swedish Science Thing and the Equation for Toast", which airs Thursday, May 16. The episode will air at the later time of 9/8c, right after the hour-long series finale of The Big Bang Theory.

Wallace Shawn returns as Dr. John Sturgis and Ed Begley, Jr. reprises his role as Dr. Linkletter in the episode.

A Swedish Science Thing and the Equation for Toast - Sheldon invites the entire school to a party for the Nobel Prize announcements. Also, Meemaw learns more about Dr. Sturgis' past, and Georgie's desire for cable TV leads to a standoff between him and George Sr., on the second season finale of YOUNG SHELDON, Thursday, May 16 (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

CBS has already renewed Young Sheldon for another two seasons, taking the show through to its fourth season in 2020/21.
