CBS has issued the press release for the first Young Sheldon episode of 2018, "An Eagle Feather, a String Bean, and an Eskimo", which airs Thursday, January 4.

Ryan Phuong (Tang), Valerie Mahaffey (Ms. Macelroy), Rex Linn (Principal Petersen), Danielle Pinnock (Ms. Ingram) and Doc Farrow (Coach Wilkins) reprise their roles in this episode. Frances Conroy (Six Feet Under, How I Met Your Mother) and Harry Groener (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) guest star in the episode.

"An Eagle Feather, a String Bean, and an Eskimo" - When Sheldon moves to Dallas to attend a school for gifted children, the family struggles to cope with his absence, on YOUNG SHELDON, Thursday, Jan. 4 (8:31-9:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Young Sheldon will take a short break over the Christmas/New Year period with a rerun of the Pilot episode on Thursday, December 28.
