'Georgie and Mandy' get full season order
The new Young Sheldon spin-off, Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage, has landed a full season order at CBS after just two episodes.
CBS has added an additional nine episodes to the initial order, which will see Georgie and Mandy's first season have a total of 22 episodes.
Montana Jordan and Emily Osment return as Georgie Cooper and Mandy McAllister, the titular married couple living under her parents' house. The show also features Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones reprising their Young Sheldon roles as Mandy's parents, Jim and Audrey, along with Dougie Baldwin as Mandy's younger brother, Connor, and Jessie Prez as Ruben, an employee at Jim's tire store.
Unlike Young Sheldon, Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage is a multi-camera sitcom filmed in front a studio audience, like The Big Bang Theory.
"With the resounding success of THE BIG BANG THEORY and YOUNG SHELDON, we were instantly on board when Chuck, Steven and Steve brought us the idea to further explore this world through GEORGIE & MANDY'S FIRST MARRIAGE," said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. "The enthusiastic audience reception has demonstrated the enormous appeal of these characters and we can't wait to see all of the hilarious fun this season will undoubtedly deliver."

Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones join Young Sheldon spin-off
Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones have been added to the cast of the upcoming Young Sheldon spin-off, Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage, according to a TV Line report.
Sasso and Jones, who portray Mandy's parents Jim and Audrey McAllister, have had recurring roles on Young Sheldon throughout its sixth and seventh seasons.
So far, only Montana Jordan and Emily Osment, who of course play the title characters Georgie and Mandy, had been announced as cast members for the spin-off.
In the final season of Young Sheldon, newlyweds Georgie and Mandy, along with their baby daughter CeeCee, moved in with her parents. Georgie then accepted a job at Jim McAllister’s auto and tire shop. As established on The Big Bang Theory, Georgie eventually owns his own chain of tire shops.
